This cross-platform app was developed by AppZoro to transform Dragontree's best-selling physical day planner into a digital tool, enhancing its appeal to a younger, tech-savvy audience.


The mission was to develop a cross-platform mobile application that serves as a digital version of the Dreambook & Planner. This app aims to help users plan their short and long-term goals, track personal growth, and stay motivated through features like daily motivational quotes, habit tracking, and weekly alignments. By providing an engaging digital experience, Dragontree hoped to attract a younger demographic and increase the overall usage and popularity of their planner.

The project began with a comprehensive analysis of the existing physical planner and the specific needs of the target audience.

The project began with a comprehensive analysis of the existing physical planner and the specific needs of the target audience. Detailed requirements were gathered through market research and consultations with Dragontree. Key functionalities were identified, including motivational quotes, calendar events, habit tracking, and weekly alignments. These requirements guided the subsequent design and development phases.

Phase 1 (Requirements Phase)

During the design phase, AppZoro focused on creating a user-friendly and visually appealing interface. Wireframes and prototypes were developed to map out the user journey and interactions. The design aimed to be intuitive, making it easy for users to navigate through the app’s features. Feedback from user testing was incorporated to refine the design and address potential usability issues.

Phase 2 (Design Phase)

The development phase involved building the app using native technologies for both Android and iOS platforms. A web-based mock-up was initially created to visualize the app’s functionality and user experience. The development team then transitioned to building the actual mobile app, ensuring that all planned features were implemented accurately. The use of Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android ensured robust and efficient performance.

Phase 3 (Development Phase)

Extensive testing was conducted to ensure the app’s functionality, performance, and security. This included unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing. Special attention was given to testing the synchronization with Google Calendar and the implementation of notifications. Feedback from beta users was utilized to make necessary adjustments and improvements.

Phase 4 (Testing Phase)

The deployment phase involved a phased rollout strategy to manage risks and ensure a smooth transition from development to production. The app was initially launched to a select group of users to gather feedback and make any final adjustments. Following a successful initial launch, the app was released to the general public on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Their best-selling product, the Dreambook & Planner, needed a digital makeover to remain relevant and competitive in the wellness industry. The goal was to create a mobile app that would not only replicate the functionalities of the physical planner but also provide additional features that enhance user engagement and retention, ultimately boosting recurring revenue.
