What Our Clients Say About Us.
Features We Build Into Automotive Software Platforms
Real Time Vehicle Telemetry
Position, speed, fuel or charge state and fault codes streamed on an interval you control, buffered on device so a coverage gap does not create a hole in the record.
Route Planning and Dispatch
Multi stop routing with live traffic, vehicle constraints and charge or fuel stops built in, pushed to the driver app without a phone call in between.
Maintenance and Service Scheduling
Service intervals tracked by distance, hours or condition, with work orders raised automatically and parts availability checked before booking.
Charge and Energy Management
Depot and public charging sessions, tariff aware scheduling and state of charge forecasting, so vehicles leave with the range the route needs.
Driver Behaviour and Safety Scoring
Harsh braking, acceleration, cornering and idling scored per trip and per driver, with coaching views that managers can act on instead of only archive.
Remote Commands and Vehicle Control
Lock, unlock, climate preconditioning and immobilisation issued through an authenticated command path with full audit logging on every request.
Compliance and Hours Reporting
Duty hours, inspection records and jurisdiction specific reporting generated from trip data rather than retyped from a driver's paper log.
Role Based Admin and Reporting
Permissions mapped to real job roles, with dashboards and exports built per role so a dispatcher and a finance lead are not reading the same screen.
The Impact of AI in Automotive Software Development
AI earns its place in a vehicle platform when it removes work a person was doing manually. Here is where we have seen it hold up in production, and where we still recommend rules.
-
We model fault codes, sensor trends and service history together so the platform flags a component likely to fail, instead of printing an alert log nobody has time to read.
-
Natural language querying over telemetry lets an operations lead ask a question in plain English and get the fleet answer back, without waiting for a report to be built first.
-
Route assignment, exception handling and ETA updates run automatically against your constraints, and escalate to a human the moment the decision stops being routine.
The Future of Your Fleet is Intelligent.
Do not run tomorrow's vehicles on yesterday's systems. Our automotive specialists design a platform strategy around your real operational bottlenecks and targets.
Integrations That Make Automotive Software Work in Practice
-
Vehicle Buses and Hardware
CAN, LIN and UDS communication through certified gateways, OBD dongles and factory fitted units, so data leaves the vehicle in a form your platform can use.
-
Telematics Service Providers
Geotab, Samsara, Webfleet and OEM data APIs connected through one normalisation layer, so a mixed fleet reports as a single estate rather than four.
-
ERP, CRM and Finance Systems
SAP, Dynamics, NetSuite and Salesforce connected to vehicle and service data, so utilisation, billing and asset records stop drifting apart month to month.
-
Dealer Management Systems
CDK, Reynolds and Keyloop integrations covering inventory, service slots, parts and customer history, with retry and reconciliation handled by design.
-
Payments, Tolling and Charging Networks
Card, wallet and fleet fuel card processing alongside tolling accounts and OCPP charge point operators, settled against the right vehicle every time.
-
Mapping, Traffic and Weather Services
Google, HERE, Mapbox and national traffic feeds, selected on coverage in your operating region rather than on whichever SDK is quickest to drop in.
Automotive Analytics Built on Data You Can Trace
Two hundred vehicles reporting every thirty seconds produce over 17 million records a month. Collecting that is the easy part. The value sits in the four or five numbers that change what your operation does on Monday, and in being able to show where each one came from.
We build the pipeline end to end, filtering on the device so you are not paying to store noise, then landing data in a store built for time series volume. Every figure traces back to a raw record, because a number nobody can audit will not survive its first disagreement.
-
Telemetry Pipelines
Ingestion, filtering and storage sized for the record volume a connected fleet produces daily.
-
Predictive Failure Models
Fault codes, sensor trends and service history modelled to flag a component before it fails.
-
Fleet Cost and Utilisation
Cost per mile, downtime, idle time and asset use measured per vehicle, route and depot.
-
Energy and Emissions Reporting
Fuel, charge and emissions data assembled into the reports your compliance team has to file.
Technology and Ecosystem
You do not need to arrive knowing which framework you want, because that decision depends on your users, your team and what you will maintain in three years without us. We work across mobile, web, cloud and AI and we will happily work inside a stack you already own.

A Structured Approach to Building Automotive Software That Lasts
Our vehicle software development lifecycle is built around review gates, because the decisions that get expensive to reverse all happen in the first month.
-
Stage 1 - Discovery and Architecture
We map the vehicles, the data, the systems already in place and the standards you answer to, then produce an architecture and roadmap before anyone commits to a sprint plan.
- Systems audit
- Data mapping
- Compliance scope
-
Stage 2 - Product Design and Prototyping
Interfaces designed for the context they are used in, whether that is a workshop tablet, a dispatcher's desk or a driver glancing at a screen while the vehicle is moving.
- User journeys
- Interface prototypes
- Usability testing
-
Stage 3 - Agile Development and Integration
Two week sprints against a working build, with vehicle bus, telematics and enterprise integrations landed early rather than deferred to the fortnight before go live.
- Sprint delivery
- API integration
- Scalable architecture
-
Stage 4 - Validation and Field Testing
Automated test coverage plus real vehicle testing across network conditions, firmware versions and hardware variants, including the units already ageing in your fleet.
- Hardware in loop
- Field pilots
- Security review
-
Stage 5 - Rollout and Continuous Support
Staged rollout with rollback paths, monitoring on the metrics agreed at discovery, and an improvement cadence that continues once the platform is carrying real load.
- Staged release
- Live monitoring
- Ongoing optimisation

With a large engineering team and documented delivery processes, we build custom automotive development programmes that fit your fleet, your systems and your targets.
Get Free ConsultationAutomotive Software Development for Different Businesses
Custom software development for automotive industry operators, written to fit how each one actually makes money rather than one platform stretched across all six.
-
Vehicle Manufacturers and OEMs
Connected vehicle platforms, cockpit applications and over the air update infrastructure, built to carry a model line through its full production and service life.
-
Tier 1 and Tier 2 Suppliers
Component telemetry, diagnostics tooling and customer facing portals that let you prove performance in the field rather than only on the test bench.
-
Fleet and Logistics Operators
Tracking, dispatch, maintenance and compliance in one operational system, sized for a mixed estate of vehicles, ages and telematics hardware.
-
Dealerships and Aftersales Networks
Service booking, parts, warranty and customer history connected across branches, so a customer record does not reset when they visit a different site.
-
EV and Charging Networks
Charge point management, session billing, tariff logic and driver apps that handle roaming between networks without a support ticket.
-
Mobility and Rideshare Startups
Rider and driver apps, trip pricing, payouts and supply positioning, built to launch in one city and expand without a rebuild in the second.
Why Choose AppZoro as an Automotive Software Development Company
Most automotive software development companies sell you either embedded engineers or an app team. Real programmes need both, plus the cloud layer between them, which is how we have structured delivery from day one.

Turning Your Questions into Confidence
How long has AppZoro been in business, and what is your track record?
AppZoro has been building software since 2016, from the Atlanta Tech Village. In that time we have delivered 250+ products across 30+ industries with a team of 50+ developers. As a custom software solutions company, our record is measured in platforms still running years after launch and in clients who came back for a second and third build. Our 4.7 Clutch rating comes from verified interviews with those clients.
What certifications, recognitions and partner status does AppZoro hold?
We hold AWS Advanced Tier Services Partner status along with Cloud Operations and Security Services competencies, and we are listed by Clutch, GoodFirms, ITFirms and DesignRush. Each listing is verified by the platform rather than self reported, so you can check every one before you talk to us. Where a project requires certification we do not currently hold, we say so at proposal stage.
What does automotive software development cover at AppZoro?
Software development for automotive clients spans four layers for us: in vehicle and device software, the cloud platform that receives it, the enterprise systems it has to integrate with, and the apps drivers, dispatchers and dealers use. You can engage us for the full programme or for the one layer your internal team cannot resource right now.
Can you work with our existing telematics hardware and vehicle data?
Usually, yes. Most fleets run mixed hardware, and we build a normalisation layer so a Geotab unit, an OEM API and an aftermarket dongle report into the same data model. We audit what you already have during discovery and tell you plainly where a hardware change would cost less than the integration work needed to keep it.
How long does an automotive software project take?
A focused build such as a driver app or tracking dashboard typically runs ten to sixteen weeks. A multi role platform with telemetry, dispatch and enterprise integrations usually takes five to eight months. Connected vehicle programmes with over the air infrastructure and cybersecurity evidence run longer. We give a phased plan at proposal stage with the assumptions written down.
How do you handle vehicle cybersecurity and compliance requirements?
We design against ISO/SAE 21434 practice and UN R155 and R156 expectations, covering threat analysis, secure update paths, key handling and audit logging, and we document the controls we build. We are not a certification body, so where your programme needs formal type approval evidence we work alongside the assessor you appoint rather than claiming that role ourselves.
What do you need from us to start?
A conversation about the vehicles, the operation and the systems involved, access to someone who can make product decisions, and a sense of any standards you answer to. A formal requirements document helps but is not required. Most engagements begin with a paid discovery that produces the architecture, the delivery plan and the cost range you need in order to decide.
